What’s new on Netflix in May 2016
May is just around the corner, which means a whole slew of new shows are soon coming to Netflix — and just as many are leaving. Sayonara, Anna Karenina.
Of course there are the tried-and-true film staples anchoring the May lineup. Pleasantville, Sixteen Candles, Bring It On, The Nutty Professor, and The Replacements are just a few of the throwbacks that will be available at your fingertips starting in May. To Catch a Thief, a 1955 classic starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, will also deliver a welcome dose of silver screen nostalgia.
As for Netflix originals, Chelsea Handler’s much-anticipated talk show will make its debut May 11, marking a first for the streamer-turned-network. The first installment of Chef’s Table season two will finally make its premiere on Big Red, as well, along with The Do-Over, the second of a four-film deal between Adam Sandler and Netflix. Lady Dynamite, featuring Comedian Maria Bamford, is also slotted for a May premiere.
