THE FIRST FLEXIBLE(BENDABLE) SMARTPHONE BY MOXI GROUP COMING SOON
New innovations keep coming on out nowadays especially this year. A China based company called Chongqing Graphene Tech Co., informally known as Moxi Group is gearing up to become the first company to sell bendable smartphones.
The company plans on putting this in the market soon, Bloomberg reports that it plans to ship 100,000 of them this year.
The smartphones cost $765 and will only be available in black and white displays initially, with color options possibly offered later on. “The color model power usage is also much higher than that of the black and white unit,” Moxi Group executive vice president Chongsheng Yu told Bloomberg. “We’ll sell in China and if there’s a demand overseas, we’ll look into it. Not only that, but Yu also says that a phone with a flexible color display will be available sometime in 2018.
how much are you expected to pay for this black-and-white phone? A hefty $760, 5,000 Yuan in China, according to CNN Money.
Of course, the entire device isn’t flexible — it’s a little harder to make a flexible battery and processor than it is to make a flexible display. There’s a module at one end of the device that houses all the non-display parts.
These phones can be worn on the wrist as smartwatch but functions completely as an android phone with everything you can get on android devices.
Just this week, Samsung was displaying a super thin rollable OLED display prototype on YouTube. This means that many other Smartphone industries are shifting to this amazing ultra modern phones.
