Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Rock Clock App Has The Objectively Best Alarm Tones Ever, No IAPs
Dwayne Johnson, AKA The Rock, may be the most likeable man in the universe. And now he has an alarm clock app that, above all else, perpetuates this, because he's The Rock. You may say, "David, what makes this so much better than my amazing alarm clock app that I already have?" To which I would answer: this one contains nearly infinitely more Dwayne Johnson. And Dwayne Johnson does not do "snooze" buttons.
One of the alarm tones is just Johnson saying "beep, beep, beep." This may sound boring, but it is, in fact, objectively amazing. Another begins with a soft, typical-morning-wake-up harp ringtone, followed by The Rock smashing said harp, and then shouting "JABRONI!" You cannot make this up. "Ring ring" is just The Rock saying "ring ring" with increasing irritation. "Lovely flute" features some soft jazz flute tunes and Johnson whispering "wakey-wakey." "Chainsaws" is literally just two the sound of two dueling chainsaws. Reddit's personal favorite, I assume, will be "Battle Cat," which has a cat meowing along to some war drums. You can even set your alarm to sync with Johnson's own, if you like waking up at four freaking fifteen AM.
The Rock Clock is available on the Play Store, and contains no in-app purchases. It does contain 25 alarm tones and daily motivational messages from the man himself, though. Yes, even more Rock, free of charge. There's a kind-of-lame goal tracker element, but who cares? This is the best alarm clock app ever, full stop. I also fully anticipate a sequel app, the Smell What The Rock Is Cooking Timer.
